Celia Birtwell (CBE) is an iconic British textile and fashion designer who rose to fame during the 60s and 70s in collaboration with her husband, British fashion designer Ossie Clark. From 1967 to 1973 Celia and Ossie dressed everyone from the Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Jimmy Hendrix, Patty Boyd and Twiggy. British artist, David Hockney, remains one of Celia’s closest friends, she remains his muse to this day and is depicted in one of Britain’s most popular paintings, ‘Mr & Mrs Clark & Percy’; hanging in Tate Britain.

Recently Celia has collaborated with Valentino, Cacharel, Uniqlo and Topshop. There was a media storm when Owen Wilson and Ben Stiller from ‘Zoolander’ walked for Valentino much to the amusement of onlookers, including Anna Wintour.

The Valentino collection has given Celia a strong presence globally launching across Valentino stores worldwide, as well as high end department stores. Most recently Celia has re-launched her home furnishing fabrics collection with ‘Blendworth’.
